If you are not seeing any progress when trying to lose weight it can be difficult to stay motivated. If you are in a similar position and are finding it impossible to stick to a weight loss program and have lost motivation to lose weight then read these tips that will help to get you back on track to your weight loss dreams.
* Do not let one mistake be the end of the world
A woman can lose motivation if she loses control and treats herself to some chocolate or ice cream that is not in her diet. In a case like this, it is always better to focus on what you have done right, not what you have done wrong. Yes, you might have gone off your diet, but how about all those other times you avoided temptation and chosen to eat healthy.
* What causes you to binge and how to avoid it
If you did binge it is very important to identify the reason why you did it. Have you been stressed? Had an argument with someone? Both are reasons why people binge eat, using food to “comfort” them. When you identify your reason it will become easier see the urge arising, therefore you can simply do something else to divert your attention until the urge passes.
* Make a new plan
Have you given your diet chance to work? If you have and are still not seeing any results then it may be time for a change. There are numerous different diets and weight loss programs out there however if you are feeling hungry or craving food all the time then the current diet you are on isn’t for you. Following a diet a program is essential as they offer many methods to keep you motivated, meal ideas and a wide range of food suggestions.
* Seek support from friends and family
Always seek support from others when trying to lose weight, if you consider yourself as being alone you will lose motivation. Speak to someone ideally who is also trying to lose weight as they will be facing similar issues as you and this can be very reassuring and keep you motivated. Failing that speak to a loved one or a friend that has a vested interest in you and simply vent your frustrations as this will also make you feel better and increase your chance of success.
* Consider setting smaller and more manageable goals.
Sometimes one of the biggest problems people have is trying to achieve one big goal rather than breaking it down into smaller more manageable goals. Maybe you want to lose 20 lbs, simply break that down into smaller goals such as 2lb per week; this will keep you far more motivated due to the gratification you will feel each week when you achieve it. Transitioning into a healthy lifestyle takes time so adjusting your eating habits one step at a time is a must. Instead of focusing on your mistakes, remember what you did right. If you have lost motivation to lose weight, seek the counsel of supportive friends and family and try a different diet program.

It is important that we have motivation to lose weight in order reach our specified goals and also during our weight loss journey.To be successful in any weight loss, motivation is needed to make us more focused on a healthy weight loss. The reasons why we have chosen to lose weight may be from a close friend or family member that has motivated you to take this big step. Taking small steps every day will give us motivation and will also not be overwhelming for you especially if you have never done this before. Always remember to stay focused on the task at hand to reach your goals.
The best way to get motivation to lose weight, is to note down your goals that you would like to reach. It is important to not record goals that are too high to reach as this could be too overwhelming for you. When you have decided how much weight you would like to lose during your weight loss journey, you can concentrate on what needs to be done. Having self motivation is very important and you will reach your goals far more quickly.
Once you have set a realistic goal on how much weight you want to lose, you can begin your journey.Always stick to your goals so you don’t get dissapointed and put the weight back on.You will feel great once you achieve success in losing your goal weight.
You may want to ask yourself a few questions such as how great are you going to look once you have lost your required weight? How will your family and friends react when they see you? What great clothes are you going to buy? and what will you be doing once you reach your goal. By answering these questions it will help you get more motivation to lose weight and look forward to your new body.
On the first month, take a photograph of yourself and also every other month for 6 months, this will give you motivation to lose weight. This is the best way to see how well you are losing the weight. When the 6 months have gone by, have a look at the 6 photographs and see what you have achieved in this very short period of time.
