Whenever we try change something about ourselves, there will inevitably be slip-ups along the way. It is important to make sure our success is protected by support systems at every turn. This should already have been done in an initial planning session, but it is important to solidify any commitment by writing it down somewhere. Then, taping that commitment to a mirror, fridge or some other frequently viewed area will keep the goal at the forefront of your thoughts.

The next part of accountability is a bit more difficult to agree to because it can have some annoying side effects. For example, if you were on the HCG diet and were making something other than the HCG diet recipes, how would you react if a friend or family member was kind enough to remind you that you were breaking the rules? Most of us might become slightly annoyed, but if we’re committed to a resolution that we set, we really should thank the people that try to help us improve. In fact, the second part of accountability is to tell somebody about the goal. If it’s a weight loss goal, tell your physician; if your resolution is to be more productive at work, tell your boss. Either way, taking the initiative to tell somebody about your resolution instills a sense of commitment and allows others to help you.

Some say that it takes 2 or 3 weeks to form a habit like eating just HCG diet recipes, and I like to hit the ground running. For hard-to-reach goals I find that it is effective to change the habit or begin the plan in December or earlier. There are several reasons for this, but the biggest one is that it trains my brain to avoid procrastinating. The beginning of a new year always fills me with a sense of purpose and a fresh attitude. Come January 1st if I already have momentum built towards a difficult goal, I become a freight train of commitment and determination. The early start combined with my plan and the support from my friends, family and associates makes me much more likely to succeed.
