How Your Glands Can Be A Cause Of Obesity

The glands in our body may cause obesity either by being overactive or being under active. It is possible that some of your glands might have contributed to your overweight body. Let us examine the possible causes here. The glands in the body are pituitary gland located at the base of the brain, the adrenal gland located above the kidneys, the thyroid gland located near wind pipe, the pancreas gland located behind the stomach, the sex glands located in the reproductive region.

The function of the pituitary gland is to produce hormones that control sex glands and the thyroid. It also produces two other hormones which control the fat deposit and the release of fat from cells. When these two work in tandem they balance each other. If the hormone that is responsible for the fat deposit is overproduced then the equilibrium is disturbed resulting in more fat deposit.

The adrenal glands are situated near the kidneys. It’s function is to produce twenty important substances such as cortisone. If this gland becomes overactive,it results in a unique pattern of fat deposit in the body such as excessive fat at the hips, upper chest over the spine and the cheeks.

The thyroid gland is situated near the windpipe. It comes under the control of pituitary gland and it produces iodine rich hormone which has fat burning characteristics. An active thyroid gland produces enough of this hormone to keep the fat in check. If for some reason thyroid becomes less active, it results in less production of this hormone causing fat to be stored instead of burned. So an under active thyroid surely contributes to fat and weight gain.

The part played by the pancreas gland in our metabolism is an important one. It is located near the stomach and produces insulin which helps to convert carbohydrates into fat. Insulin tends to store fat and stops the release of the fat, resulting in overweight.Persons who are obese tend to have overactive pancreas gland.

The sex glands play a vital role in the reproductive system of the body. The sex glands in men and women are called testes and ovaries respectively. If the sex glands are removed for some reason such as accident, the man and the woman both tend to put on weight. This goes to show the effect of sex glands on putting on weight and fat

By morning, blood sugar and carbohydrates levels are low. So if you exercise on an empty stomach, a type of training,if forces the body to look for an alternate energy source. If carbohydrates and blood sugar levels are low, the body moves to its alternate source of energy which is fat.

The second way to speed up the metabolism is eat smaller more frequent meals. , Try eating 4 - 5 small meals per day eating 2 - 3 meals per day makes your body store fat because it feels starved, or 3 meals and 2 healthy snack meals. Food substitutions will help when trying to reduce calories and speeding up your metabolism. When the urge for sweets and snacks hits, try herbal teas like an apple-cinnamon, almond, or orange. Weight Loss Myths - Get Thin And Never Regret It

Fat loss myths are everywhere and are helped along with advertising saying you can lose weight with little or no exercise. Often these claims are made to get you to try their product and are completely wrong or only give you half the truth. This article explains the common Fat Loss Tips and gives you the facts behind them.

Myth: You can lose fat from a problem area only. This is a lie, since when you lose body fat it takes it from all over, not just from one part of you. Exercises that target one muscle group will just add muscle there, but you will still have a layer of fat over them. Fat loss happens all over your body, wherever fat is stored.

Myth: Fatty foods cause body fat. Actually, too many calories cause body fat. If you eat more calories then you burn off in a day, your body will convert this to fat for storage. Even too much health food can cause body fat. It’s the numbers of the calories you eat not the type of food you eat.

The Myth: Diets and pills can make you lose fat just like they advertise. In truth, if you use crash diets and pills to lose weight, your body will actually store more fat, not lose it. Once you make your body think it is starving, like diets and pills can do, your metabolism will slow and it will retain the fat thinking it needs it. This can also be unhealthy on your system and cause your metabolism to slow down even further, which can make the fat harder to get off in the long run, too.

The Myth: The best way to lose weight is to do Fat Loss Exercises in the morning on an empty stomach. This is a half-truth, since anytime you can do cardio it has the benefit of burning fat. If you find you aren’t a morning person, then getting up hours early to exercise will cause you to fail because you won’t do it long term. Doing it on an empty stomach may make you feel better, but there’s no more benefit to not eating and exercising then if you’ve ate. The truth is exercise is good no matter when you do it. Quick Weight Loss is what you need.

The True Myth: To lose fat you must burn more calories then you put into your body. This is the one and only myth that is true. Calorie numbers count and you have to eat less then what you burn off. Fat loss works with a healthy diet and exercise.

If you want to lose body fat always check with your doctor first before starting anything for your own health and safety. You can find a gym and talk to a personal trainer, or even get exercise by just walking your dog. The key thing is to get up and exercise and once you do, you’ll feel great and want to continue.

There is no pill or diet to burn fat, and this is where Fat Loss Myths start. Exercise and a healthy diet are the keys to burning fat, and you’ll love the new you get from it. What you need is Fat Burning Tips.

Simple Tips You Can Use Straight Away To Lose The Weight

Dieting is being aware of how much you eat, how frequent you eat and what food you eat. Below are some of the tips on proper diet.

Eat zero calorie foods. These are foods that you can eat in any quantity and not feel guilty about eating them. They work in a negative calorie way and are allowed to be consumed whenever you want.

Include soups in your meal. It takes a long time to eat, its filling, its low calorie, and its good for you. There was a study a few years ago that stated soup added to a diet will speed up your metabolism and reduce the hunger cravings. There are two things to look out for, creamy soups (higher in calorie) and the salt level in soups. Unfortunately, most canned soups are also high in salt, so take that into consideration when eating soup.

Trim down the fats that you eat during the day. Lowering the amount of fats in your diet just makes good sense. Fat is denser and less likely to fill you for a sustained period of time, also, fat and cholesterol is not a heart healthy solution. Be aware of the “no-fat” “low-fat” products they have in the store. The way they usually make these items low-fat yet tasty is by adding more sugar. Just because something says low-fat doesn’t mean that you can’t gain weight from it. Another thing, if you substitute fatty foods with vegetables, you’ll find that you feel fuller because of the fiber levels in fruits and vegetables.

Eat smaller meals a day than larger meals. Studies reveal that eating small may help your metabolism to stay at a higher rate and will make the person not hungry throughout the day.

Eat to live, don’t live to eat. The reason we eat certain foods or indulge in certain junk foods is often far from being hungry. Some people eat to comfort themselves, some people eat for the pleasure of eating, the taste, texture, etc, but you really have to ask yourself, what should be the function of food in my life. You want to shift the focus of food as entertainment to food being what fuels your body. Too much is bad and your body won’t function properly. Changing your attitude towards food is important if you want to succeed in any diet.

Savor every meal by eating slowly. Perhaps there are times that you have to rush your food down because you’re late for work or late for an appointment, but if you eat slowly you will enjoy the food more and feel a little more satisfied. Doing otherwise would lead you to eat more because your pituitary gland could not tell you fast enough that you have had enough.
