Looking for the best way for you to lose weight, And are tired of all the method’s out there to use? Millions of people out there have this problem. Low carb diets are out there, but they don’t work like they say. Instead, by eating this type of diet you rob your body of vitamins and minerals. The Reason, has nothing to do with your will-power,over- eating or the right diet! It’s what’s in you!

What’s the best way to burn fat? Well it is pretty simple as long as the proper diet and exercise is applied. Everyone is a different body type. What works for some might not work on you.Foremost is to change your diet obviously. The three best and easiest ways to do this: Lower your calorie, salt and fat intake. For example, by substituting a glass of water for a carbonated beverage, you cut around 150 calories or more, depending on how much and what kind. How about switching to fruit juice instead of water, you would still reduce calories by approximately 50 - 100.

To much sodium and salt filled seasonings combined with fat can cause water retention. For a man, mostly it’s seen in the stomach. The hips, thighs, and butt are mostly seen on a woman. But what causes these unwanted gains in weight and body fat? Three main reasons this happens: (1) Eat way to late(2) Eat more then what your body needs each day (3) LAZY and be honest with yourself.

Bottom line: Break one of these rules, you will store fat. Your metabolism will go in a shutdown mode. Inactivity causes calories to build and produce excess body fat. When calories are above normal levels, the “unused” surplus gets stored. Any exercise speeds your metabolism. The metabolism must reach a certain speed in order to burn fat.Overnight during sleep, calories (mainly complex carbohydrates) are burned more slowly than during the day. By morning, blood sugar and carbohydrates levels are low. So if you exercise on an empty stomach, a type of training,if forces the body to look for an alternate energy source. If carbohydrates and blood sugar levels are low, the body moves to its alternate source of energy which is fat.

The second way to speed up the metabolism is eat smaller more frequent meals. , Try eating 4 - 5 small meals per day eating 2 - 3 meals per day makes your body store fat because it feels starved, or 3 meals and 2 healthy snack meals. Food substitutions will help when trying to reduce calories and speeding up your metabolism. When the urge for sweets and snacks hits, try herbal teas like an apple-cinnamon, almond, or orange. The preparation of tea alone actually helps to take your mind off food. The heat from the tea fills you up, and the aroma will help satisfy your cravings.

Does Building Muscles Helps To Lose Weight ?

March 6, 2010 by Mike Steven

Weight training is increasingly recommended as a fat-busting tool because some experts say extra muscle burns more energy than body fat at rest, so if you have more muscle and have a higher muscle to fat ratio than before, then you must burn extra fat and more stored fat as a result. This is true and has been found in metabolic studies. However, the differences are not that much; perhaps less than a few tens of calories per day for each pound of muscle increased, for most people.

Does it mean you shouldn’t worry about weight training? Certainly not, because weight training has many other benefits for body and performance, not the least of which is extra muscle. It’s just that this advantage has been somewhat overstated and we need to get this fat burning thing, right in order to develop the best weight loss and performance programs.

Getting the after burn. Okay, so extra muscle does not provide that much advantage, but what about the after burn? The ‘after burn’, or the amount of energy you use after you stop exercising, has been promoted as an important slimming idea. If you can get after burn, which is really another way of saying your metabolism increases for several hours or longer after a particular workout, then that?s a bonus because you burn fat during the exercise and after you cease as well. Will the fun ever stop!

However, this idea has recently been reconsidered as well. An blog post in the Journal of Sports Science reported that despite some promising early studies of this effect, the idea has not proved to be as useful as first thought.

Exercise scientists call this after burn effect EPOC, which stands for Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption. The researchers of that study say that the high intensities required — greater than about 75 percent of maximum heart rate — are probably beyond what most people wanting to lose weight can cope with in sustained exercise. So the after burn advantage from lifting weights or running fast is there, but we need to be able to sustain that intensity, which means a lot of hard work. No secrets there, I’m sure.

You also need to consider how fuel is used preferentially according to how your body stores are maintained. After you do a vigorous or long workout, your blood and muscle glucose will be much lower than before you started. Low glucose stores signal the body to burn fat preferentially. So after hard exercise that uses a lot of glucose, the body switches to burning fat.

Two Simple Rules That Can Make It Easy And Natural To Consistently Lose Weight

March 3, 2010 by Cindy Burgenstein

If you would like to lose a few pounds, you certainly don’t have to go very far to find a solution. Just type in “weight loss” in Google and you’ll get about eight trillion results.

The amount of diets and methods available to us seems to swell along with our waistlines. Most are pretty good, and can go a long way towards helping us. Many though, are confusing, and hard to put into practice without having to check some complicated chart or spreadsheet every time you want to buy or cook something.

Here I’d like to help you with a couple quick rules of thumb on how to eat the right kinds of food. When you eat he right kinds of fats and carbohydrates, you will go a long way in naturally slimming down.

One huge enemy to weight loss is sugar, or bad carbs. Of course, the easy solution is to give up all carbs completely, but who are we kidding? That last time I tried that I was a basket case after only two days.

Not all carbs are bad. How do you tell which are good and which are bad? Just avoid anything that was processed. The more something was processed, generally speaking, the worse it is for you. A quick rule is that brown is better.

Yellow pasta is not as good as brown pasta. White rice is not as good as brown rice. Wheat bread is better than white bread. White carbohydrates are treated almost like sugar by your body, so you can think of them as pure sugar in disguise.

When choosing fats, choose solid, natural fats. Fats found in vegetables such as avocado’s are good. Fats found in a bottle of oil are bad. Fats found in fish is good, fats found in french fries are bad. Just ask yourself, did this grow this way? If it did, then it’s ok. If it didn’t, and it was processed somehow try and avoid it.

If you stick to these simple two rules, you’ll notice a slow but positive change in your body shape, and your energy levels, and your self confidence.

How To Lose Weight Quick - Knowing Is Half The Battle

March 3, 2010 by Cindy Burgenstein

If you have a weight problem, you aren’t alone. Fully two thirds of adult Americans share your same condition. Many of us struggle on a daily basis with this very issue.

Not to mention all the other health problems that come along with being overweight. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, and a host other problems which can be directly related to weight issues.

Is there a reason for this? Were we always so fat? The simple answer is no. A hundred years ago, even fifty years ago, most people were thin and healthy. So what happened?

First of all, peoples lifestyles were much different back then. People had much more active lives. Most people had to work hard physical labor to make a living. Today most people sit at a desk.

Those of us that go to the gym, even several times a week, don’t work out nearly as hard as people used to do for a living. We just don’t get the exercise that people did in the old days.

And secondly, the food we eat is not nearly as healthy as it was before. Before, most of the food people ate was fresh, and grown somewhere near to where they lived. It wasn’t trucked in from across the country, or shipped in from a different country altogether.

Today, most of the food is processed, chemically altered to make it last longer, and filled with preservatives. It might make it last longer on the shelf of a store, but is it healthy?

The problem is, we have little choice in the food we eat on a regular basis. Finding fresh, locally grown food is not only difficult, but extremely expensive if you can find a natural grocer nearby.

Pretty much all the food you can find to eat today, from restaurants, to fast food places, to most supermarket food is filled with things that are simply not healthy to eat, and can cause all kinds of health problems.

So it’s no wonder that more of us aren’t even fatter than we already are. With little or no exercise, virtually no choice in the food that is available to us, we are left with little hope of becoming thin and healthy without a heroic effort on our part.

The biggest scam is that there are corporations and companies that make billions of dollars every year selling you food that makes you fat and unhealthy.

But when you figure out how to eat healthy, and get a little bit of exercise, you can start to take your life back, little by little. It may take a little motivation and willpower, but it’s your life. It’s important.

Tips To Help You With Your Weight Loss Resolution

February 21, 2010 by Chris Robinsson

As the year turns into a new one, many people have new year’s resolutions and losing weight is on a lot of people’s lists of things to accomplish. Most people fail, because of the stress of not getting any results for their efforts. This sucks, but if you have the right mindset you can easily push through the barrier and start to lose weight as well as keep the weight from coming back on!

As we go on in this article I will go to share to you some easy tips to follow to help you in this process.

The first tip would be, to focus on small changes each step of the way. You have to remember that weight loss is not just a change in your diet but a lifestyle change as well. You can start this process on baby steps, like instead of signing up for a membership in the gym for the whole year, you can try for a couple of months and observe how you will go there. Or if you don’t want to be in the gym, you can start out with a short walk around the block for three or four times a week for thirty minutes. You should get started with the things that are easy for you to do. Next tip is for you to eat 100% organic, virgin and unrefined coconut oil. Many researches have found out that replacing your regular coconut oil is going to be helpful for those who are trying to lose weight.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. This is a very true statement as apples are a great way to stabilize your blood sugar levels. Try getting an apple a day into your diet.

Stay clear of fast food and greasy food! This is probably the biggest tip I can give you. The food that you put in your mouth is going to be a huge factor wheter or not you lose weight or not. There’s tons of fat and chemicals in fast food that is potentially harmful for you. If you have to eat out go for fish, baked potato, salads and stay away from grease!

The last and most important tip is to keep your head up high and stay positive, commited and confident. Even if you don’t lose a single pound you still went to the gym, worked out and got something out of it… That should make you feel great!

One Diet Fits All: The Glycemic Index Diet Plan

February 20, 2010 by Doug LaLonde

No matter what a person’s health goals are, I truly believe a Glycemic Index Diet Plan can be customized and modified for everyone.

Some people want to lose weight while some want to gain more weight. A lot of folks are looking to build huge muscle mass while others just wish to keep the muscle they have now. The point is; most people at sometime in their lives begin to think they will improve their health if they improve their diet.

I believe, even given huge differences in individual health goals, that if we are talking about true physical health and not just a quick fix to remedy an imagined physical condition, that the right diet plan can be good for almost everyone.

You shouldn’t have to worry about controlling weight if your diet is one that is healthy, wouldn’t you agree? If you are 50 pounds overweight than it is probably a no-brainer that your diet isn’t working, correct? I want to tell you the reasons I believe that everyone can benefit from a Glycemic Index Diet Plan.

** A Glycemic Index Diet Plan can help you to burn a solid 1 to 1-1/2 pounds of pure fat every single week if controlling or losing weight is your objective.

** Because a glycemic index diet plan helps to balance your hormonal system gaining muscle mass is easier if that is your goal.

** Keeping your hormonal system in peak and proper balance will also help in your efforts to ward off the effects of aging if ultimate health and anti-aging is your objective.

** Lastly, following a glycemic index diet plan should be high on your list of priorities if combating the problems caused by type 1 and type 2 diabetes is your main consideration.

Let’s not confuse the subject of healthy dieting with generic terms like low carb diet, or low carb diet program. We’re talking about carbs that turn to blood sugar quickly, versus carbs that do not. Putting a Glycemic Index Diet Plan into the same category as a carbohydrate restricting diet is not correct and it turns people off to a diet that could do wonderful things for them.

Let’s do everybody a favor and tell the truth here…

If you want to get sick, even sick to death, then pay no attention to how fast carbohydrates turn to blood sugar. Monitoring the glycemic index of the carbs you’re eating is a must no matter what your health goals may be. Unless of course you simply don’t care about your health.

The more you learn, the more it becomes increasingly obvious that a glycemic index diet plan is right for everybody and can be modified to suit everyones physiological make up.

Dieting and the Holidays

We see Thanksgiving and Christmas as the most glorious festive food days of the year. Lordie, don’t you just love that dressing! And pie! Whipped Cream! Oh, YEAH! One more little helping won’t hurt your diet! But it will. That one more little helping is between you and your maker, sure, but do you want to see him that much sooner? Do you want to go with or without the extra gravy?

What do you want to do? I know, we have all winter to be back on the diet so we can wear the new spring fashions. Yeah. Has that ever happened? I want you to feel good about yourself, so please, think for one minute on the reason for your diet. Is it because you want to look better? Do you want to feel Better? Is it because you want to meet someone, or go somewhere? Maybe you just want a different life style, or maybe your doctor has told you that you have to lose weight. A few years ago they said the average American was 10 pounds overweight. Now they talk about 35 % of the population is obese. Obese. That’s why I mention Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you are on a diet, then you are on a diet. Don’t be that silly person that says you can go off your weight loss program for today, or tomorrow and back on the next day. Don’t be that silly person that says that it won’t matter because the diet doesn’t work anyway. That’s just plain silly!!! I won’t even call it ignorant! Your diet has to become your lifestyle. Look at the TV ads. You see the people like Jarrod and Oprah that actually went on a diet and changed their lifestyle.

Life style. Two simple words, but when put together, they mean a whole lot more. First, if you’re overweight and don’t change the way you eat, life may be good, but it will be short. If you don’t mind the jokes and snickers, if you don’t mind the rudeness we get when we are overweight, then it’s cool, stay that way. Did you know that every ten pounds of weight you carry increases pressure on your knees by forty pounds? But that’s okay, because it’s your body. If you find the craving for food to be too much, then eat. Taste, savor, enjoy. Just don’t consume. A couple weeks ago I handed a really exquisite chocolate to a lady that has gone from 280 down to 140. She bit off half of it, delighted in the flavor, cherished the taste, and discarded the rest. She has changed her life from the person that would just eat and eat and eat to the person that tastes and cherishes the flavor, but doesn’t CONSUME.

Style- How about clothes that don’t have an X in the size? Would that be great? Well, if that’s what you want, if you’re tired of wearing potato sacks, then stay away from the potatoes. Completely. I know, lots of nutrients in the skin, so peel them and eat the skins but throw the rest away. Sports car or big sedan? Sports cars are like shoes. You have to be able to get into them to wear them. A big sedan is comfortable? C’mon! We all know you need the room to get in and out. Who are we kidding? You diet for your own reasons, but you need to stick to it. Everyday. Your style has to be the person you want to be, not who you’ve stuck yourself with. Back to life style. I tend to go off every once in a while. Lifestyle is when thin people invite you for dinner. Life style is knowing that there won’t be an extra turkey because you are coming, and you don’t hear “We cook extra because we like leftovers.” Life style is the beach, parasailing, volleyball, and stuff like that.

The problem is, lifestyle is a total concept. Holiday dinner? Friends, family, and food. Thanksgiving. The lady at the party that lost 140 pounds didn’t just skip a meal now and then. She changed her life. Her life is no longer about staying on a diet. Today she eats right and exercises, and is the thin person that she used to have deep inside. She no longer binges on food. She enjoys the holidays as social gatherings with warmth and camaraderie. Yiu can, too.

Losing the weight has to be your choice, but what a great choice it is. Set goals and grow into those goals, not the next dress size. Become a hero to yourself.
